Product Claims: This Leave-In Reconstructor leaves hair more flexible and shiny. It effectively penetrates hair structure, realigning it and reducing hair volume. Once a desired amount is applied to hair, leave in for a few minutes before blow-drying as usual. A flat iron seals hair cuticles, causing the keratin to effectively enter hair fibers. Ideal for hair that has been straightened, dyed, exposed to environmental pollutants and continually blow-dried or ironed. Designed for frequent use or as needed.  Also recommended for those who have professionally relaxed/straightened hair to keep hair at its best between touch-ups.  Sodium chloride free.


 Key Ingredients:
Green Keratin - an active ingredient derived from soybean, corn and wheat proteins that deeply adheres to hair fibers, promoting incredibly smooth hair through heat action. The result is strong, highly nourished hair that improves flexibility and shine.

 My Thoughts: 
After deep conditioning with the nuNaat Brazilian Keratin Deep Conditioner,I applied the nuNAAT NAAT Brazilian Keratin Liquid Keratin Leave-In Reconstructor to my hair in sections and blow dried. I wasn't going for straight hair but stretched hair. I blow dried using the tension method by holding my hair taut and running the blow dryer along the length of my hair.

 I couldn't help but notice how silky and soft my hair felt. I later braided my hair in about 8 sections. The next morning I un-braided the sections and I was surprised by the softness of my waves. It was just lovely. It didn't tangle or reverted all day and literally stayed stretched for about 4 days. No product keep my hair stretched past a day or maybe 2 (if I am lucky).

Pros: 

  • Price can't be beat at $6.99
  • Leaves my hair stretched and soft
  • Because of the keratin bonding with my hair it did not shrink quickly


 Cons:
While I loved the product I think the bottle top is inefficient. This should be a spray bottle not a bottle to pour from. I suggest pouring it into a empty spray bottle. So nuNaat, if your reading, we need a spray bottle for this. I loved everything else.

 Conclusion:
I love this product and will continue using. It does what it says and will strengthen the hair with repeated use.

DIY Moisturizing Spray For Locs And Natural Hair

Since I loc’d my hair last year November, creamy moisturizers have been a thing of the past. Anything creamy is the devil to locs because it causes buildup and can even grow mold in the loc (yuck!). So liquid everything has been my choice for hair products. I have been experimenting with natural ingredients to build a moisturizer that WORKS. I wanted a product that left my hair moist and not just for a hot second. I wanted it seal in the moisture and offer shine to my locs, my scalp and my loose natural roots (a few inches). I apply this moisturizing spray to my entire locs and squeeze it into my loc. for my scalp (when retwist not fresh) I spray liberally to my scalp and give my self a soothing scalp massage.
