Shea Moisture Cosmetics Review

Shea Moisture Cosmetics Review

Shea Moisture is a force to be reckoned with in the beauty department. If you are a regular reader here on GlamNaturalLife.com, then you know I try to get my hands on all things Shea Moisture. From hair to body and now cosmetics, Shea Moisture has delivered with great products at super affordable prices.

Shea Moisture first revealed their cosmetics line ‘A Better Way to Beautiful’ at Korto Momulu’s Fashion show here in New York City during Fashion Week earlier this year. The complete cosmetics collection is now exclusively sold in stores and Target.com; so it is easily attainable. I was given the chance to try the foundation, CC cream, face powder, blush and lipgloss and I had to gush about them.

See below for my reviews the SheaMoisture ‘A Better way to Beautiful Cosmetics’ collection:

SheaMoisture Put Your Best Face Forward Foundation - $12.99

Shea Moisture Cosmetics

I love the fact that the product comes in a squeezable tube; I know I will get every last drop! This Put Your Best Face Forward foundation seems to give off a more matte finish. After I buffed the product into my skin with a brush, I did not need to add a finishing powder. I loved how creamy the foundation was and how light it felt on my skin. You do not need to use a lot of this product to get a good coverage. I am impressed.

SheaMoisture All in One Wonder CC Cream in shade Dark - $19.99

Shea Moisture Makeup

OMG this is the favorite CC cream I have tried. I am so excited about this right now. I love this One Wonder CC creams because it leaves my skin moisturized and offer me just the right amount of coverage that I need. This CC cream evened out my skin tone and hid any imperfection and that I have on my face.
Most of all, my skin stayed moisturized all day.

I have eczema skin so I tend to not wear make up a lot because my skin get dry easily and makeup look a hot mess after a few hours. Not with this honey. I love it. Soft skin, moisturized skin and evenly toned skin is what I dreamed of and is exactly what this SheaMoisture CC cream delivered.

It is really creamy and applies nicely to my skin. It is moisturizing so you do not need to add any moisturizer to your skin before applying. The greatest thing about this CC cream is that it leaves your skin with a dewy finish without leaving your skin oily. Oh and did I mention that it also have SPF 15? I give this CC cream a raving 10. I love it!

SheaMoisture Wet/Dry press Powder  - $14.99

I love this press powder. It's so light weight and gives me the coverage that I need. It gives my face a nice glow while reducing shine. I have used this press powder on its own and over foundation and CC cream and I just love it. Also, I was very happy with the mirror in the compact. So it's easily my every day travel powder compact.

I do prefer to use a brush instead of the press sponge. With a powder brush I can use less product and have a more natural look.

SheaMoisture A Sweet Kiss of Color Mineral Blush $5.99

Shea Moisture Cosmetics

This blush is the perfect light rosey color I like to wear on my cheeks. It is just enough to bring life to the face. I absolutely love it. I also used this blush as an eye shadow and it worked just as good. I cant be the only one who does this right? Lol!

Please note that this is an insert and not a compact. So you do need to have a blush compact where you can add inserts.

SheaMoisture Shine On Lip Gloss $9.99

Shea Moisture lipgloss

The packaging on this lip gloss is so creative and cool. The perfect lipstick enclosed in an eco-friendly bamboo tubing. It offers lots of shine and some lip-plumping action too. love this color because it compliments my skin tone very very well.

These are just a few of the products from the SheaMoisture  ‘A Better Way to Beautiful’ cosmetics collection. I am really looking forward to try other products from the line such as the lipsticks, eye shadows and lipsticks.

Have you tried the Shea Moisture cosmetics line yet?

Words of Encouragement

Hey Loves!

A few days ago I was very down on myself and needed some encouragement. My boyfriend sent me the following words to uplift my spirits and it did.  I feel like it will help some one too so please read below.

Me: God can I ask you a question?
God: Sure
Me: Promise u won't get mad

God: I promise
Me: Why did u let so much stuff happen to me today?
God: What do u mean?
Me: Well, I woke up late,
God: Yes
Me: My car took forever to start,
God: Okay
Me: at lunch they made my sandwich wrong & I had to wait,
God:Huummmm...
Me: On the way home, my phone went DEAD, just as I picked up a call.....
God: All right
Me: And to top it all off, when I got home ~I just wanted to soak my feet in my new foot massage & relax. BUT it wouldn't work!!! Nothing went right today! Why did you do that?

God: Let me see, the Death Angel was at your bed this morning & I had to send one of the other angels to battle him for your life. I let you sleep through that.
Me (humbled): OH
GOD: I didn't let you…

INTERLOCKING ROTATION | 2 Point vs 4 Point Rotation On Locs

INTERLOCKING ROTATION | 2 Point vs 4 Point Rotation On Locs

Hi Loves,

I always get asked about how do I interlock my locs and the rotation I used - whether its 2-point or 4-point rotation. Some people also use the term 2-way or 4-way rotation.

In the video below, I illustrate on my own locs, the difference between the two methods. you can then compare for yourself, if there is a difference between the two by looking at my locs.

Do you interlock your locs? Share below which rotation do you use?
